Objective To analyze the effect of PDCA cycle management on the hand hygiene compliance and the inci-dence of hospital feeling of medical staff in hospitals. Methods Sixty medical staff from Jining Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital were selected as the research objects by target sampling method. The control group received routine management from March to December 2022,and the study group received PDCA cycle manage-ment from January to July 2023.The mastery level of hand hygiene knowledge, compliance and accuracy rates of hand hygiene, and incidence of nosocomial infections were compared between two groups of medical staff. Results The mas-tery levels of various knowledge in the research group was better than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The hand hygiene compliance rate of the research group was 99.40%(1 645/1 655),and the accuracy rate was 97.26%(1 600/1 645),which were higher than 95.60%(1 544/1 615)and 94.95%(1 466/1 544)of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=48.655,11.523,both P<0.05).The incidence of nosocomial infection during the management period of the research group was 10 times, which was less than the 34 times in the control group. Conclusion PDCA cycle management can improve the hand hygiene com-pliance of hospital medical staff and reduce the number of hospital infections.
