Epidemiological Characteristics Analysis on Severe Fever with Thrombocy-topeniasyndrome in Jiyang,District,Jinan City,China from 2016 to 2023
Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syn-drome(SFIS)in Jixiang District from 2016 to 2023,explore effective prevention and control measures,and provide sci-entific evidence for SFIS prevention and control.Methods Descriptive epidemiological statistical methods were em-ployed to analyze the case data of SFTS in Jixiang District from 2016 to 2023 in the Chinese Disease Surveillance In-formation System.Results From 2016 to 2023,a total of 72 cases of SFTS were reported in Jixiang District,with an av-erage incidence rate of 1.50/100,000 population,and 5 deaths,with an average case fatality rate of 5.93%.The onset time exhibited a double-peak distribution mainly occurring between April and October.Individuals over the age of 45 accounted for approximately 93.06%(67/72),predominantly farmers at around 84.72%.The male-to-female ratio was approximately 0.71:1.Conclusion SFIS has been expanding its impact within Jixiang District primarily affecting middle-aged and elderly individuals residing in rural areas while demonstrating a distinct seasonal pattern.Thus,tar-geted interventions should be implemented in these high-risk areas,including public education campaigns,evidence-based education programs,surveillance systems,and training programs for key populations.
