Study on the Value of Safety Management Concept in the Management of Neurology Department
Objective To analyze the influence of safety management concept on the management quality in neurology department. Methods Forty nurses working in the Third People's Hospital of Dezhou from May 2020 to July 2022 were selected as the study subjects,May 2020 to July 2021 as the control group,and August 2021 to July 2022 as the obser-vation group,with twenty in each group. The control group took routine management,the observation group took safety management. The mastery of medication safety knowledge,rational use of drugs,quality of nursing management and oc-currence of adverse events between the two groups were compared. Results The scores of drug safety knowledge and medication rationality in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were sta-tistically significant (all P<0.05). The nursing management quality score of the observation group were higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). There were 2 adverse events in the observation group and 11 adverse events in the control group. The incidence of adverse events in the observation group was less than that in the control group. Conclusion Nursing staff in neurology department carry out their work through the concept of safety management,the incidence of adverse events is significantly reduced,and the quality of nursing is significantly improved.
