Objective To analyze the application effect of closed-loop management mode of drug validity period in drug management in clinical departments. Methods Twenty-three staff members of the pharmacy of Xigang Center Health Hospital in Tengzhou City were selected as study subjects from January to December 2023. Routine manage-ment was implemented from January to June 2023 as the control group. Closed-loop management mode of drug expira-tion date was implemented from July to December 2023 as the observation group. Compared the two groups manage-ment error,management quality,management satisfaction. Results A total of 4 cases of reported drug losses occurred in the observation group,which was less than the 29 cases in the control group. The management quality scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The total satisfaction of the observation group was 100.00％ (23/23),which was higher than 82.61％ (19/23) of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (x2=2.228,P<0.05). Conclusion The closed-loop management model of drug expiration date for drug management in clinical departments can reduce management er-rors and improve management quality.
