Objective To analyze the effect of nursing risk management in nursing management of cardiology depart-ment. Methods Twelve nurses in the cardiology department of Feixian People's Hospital from January to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects. Traditional management methods were implemented from January to June 2023 (control group) and nursing risk management was implemented from July to December 2023 (observation group). Adverse nursing events,nursing quality and management satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results No ad-verse nursing events occurred in the observation group,and 1 nurse-patient dispute and 3 drug administration errors occurred in the control group. The scores of nursing quality (risk identification ability,risk prevention ability,commu-nication ability,service awareness) in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The management satisfaction of the observation group was 100.00％ (12/12),higher than 58.33％ (7/12) of the control group. Conclusion Nursing risk management is effective in cardiol-ogy nursing management,which can reduce the risk of nursing adverse events and improve management satisfaction.
