Application of Rain Classroom Teaching Based on OBE Concept in the Course of Community Nursing
Objective To explore the teaching effect of "Community Nursing" through Rain Classroom under the student-centered Outcome Based Education (OBE) concept. Methods A total of 1015 nursing students of grade 2022 in Shenyang Medical College were selected as the control group,and they were taught by traditional teaching design from March to June 2023. A total of 1083 nursing students of grade 2023 were selected as the observation group,and they were taught by rain classroom teaching based on OBE concept from March to June 2024. The formative evalua-tion results,learning goal achievement and teaching feedback were compared between the two groups. Results The for-mative assessment scores of the observation group students in the in class test (9.02±0.69) points,mid-term test (18.64±1.02) points,and homework (19.14±0.54) points were all higher than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (t=4.96,5.01,5.10,P<0.05). The scores of interpersonal communication ability (28.63±3.54) points,analytical and problem-solving ability (33.98±3.98) points,professional achievement and social responsi-bility (12.68±2.65) points,and total score (76.29±7.23) points in the core competencies of community nursing for the observation group students were higher than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (t=5.98,8.74,5.79,13.42,P<0.05). Conclusion Rain classroom teaching of Community Nursing based on the OBE con-cept can improve students' learning outcomes,clarify their learning goals,and have a positive impact on them.
