Analysis of Dengue Fever Epidemic Characteristics in Puning City from 2019 to 2023
Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and main influencing factors of dengue fever in Puning City from 2019 to 2023,and to provide scientific basis for formulating targeted prevention and control mea-sures. Methods The data of dengue fever cases reported through the infectious disease surveillance information sys-tem in Puning City from 2019 to 2023 were collected,and the incidence rates of each year and region were statisti-cally analyzed to evaluate the impact of different factors on the prevalence of dengue fever. Results From 2019 to 2023,a total of 202 confirmed cases of dengue fever were reported in Puning City,of which local cases accounted for 87.62％ (177/202) and imported cases accounted for 12.38％ (25/202),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The cases of dengue fever were mainly concentrated in May-November and peaked in August. The regional dis-tribution of cases was mainly in Zhanlong Town. There were significant differences in the age and occupational distri-bution of dengue fever cases in the population in Puning City from 2019 to 2023,and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The Breteau monitoring index shows that the Breteau index has been on the rise since March each year,peaking from August to September. Conclusion Dengue fever in Puning City from 2019 to 2023 is mainly local transmission,and has obvious seasonal peaks. Imported cases are an important cause of local transmission.
