The Application of MOOC in Teaching Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine, which utilizes radionuclides and associated labeled compounds for clinical diagnosis and treatment, intersects multiple disciplines and represents a crucial field in modern medicine. In recent years,ad-vancements in imaging equipment and novel radiopharmaceuticals have significantly propelled the development of nuclear medicine. However, traditional teaching methods in nuclear medicine have been predominantly teacher-centered and lack vibrancy, thereby impeding students' autonomous learning and innovation capabilities. Recently, various online education models have gained widespread attention, with massive open online courses (MOOCs) emerg-ing as a revolutionary teaching format for educators and students alike. MOOCs,as an established online teaching framework, have introduced substantial changes in medical education. This platform can integrate and enrich educa-tional resources, enhance students' motivation and engagement, and help address the shortcomings of traditional teach-ing methods. This paper analyzes the current application status of MOOCs in nuclear medicine and the consequent educational reforms. It proposes methods for transforming teaching approaches and ensuring course quality through MOOCs,and discusses areas needing improvement for future applications. The introduction of MOOCs not only en-hances teaching effectiveness, but also promotes the homogenization of medical education. Future research and explo-ration into the application of MOOCs in nuclear medicine education are necessary to drive the reform and advance-ment of medical education.
