Study on the Value of PBL Based Microclass and Multi-track Teaching in Plastic Surgery Teaching
Objective To investigate the value of microlearning based on problem-based learning (PBL) methodology in conjunction with multi-track teaching for teaching plastic surgery. Methods Eighty regular trainees from the De-partment of Plastic and Burns of The First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University from January 2022 to De-cember 2023 were selected as the study subjects,According to different teaching methods, they were divided into con-trol group and observation group, forty in each group. The control group received routine teaching, and the observation group received PBL micro-course combined with multi-track teaching. The discharge scores, core competencies, and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group's discharge scores and core competency scores were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Teaching satisfaction in the observation group was 95.00% (38/40),higher than 80.00% (32/40) in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (x2=4.114,P<0.05). Conclusion The use of PBL based microteaching in conjunction with multitrack teaching in orthopedic surgery can further enhance the discharge perfor-mance of the trainees, strengthen their core competencies, and improve their teaching satisfaction.
