The Influence of Department Infection Control Group on the Quality of Hospital Infection Management
Objective To explore the influence of setting up department infection control group in clinical depart-ments on the quality of hospital infection management,so as to improve the quality of hospital infection management. Methods Fifteen clinical departments of Danyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to De-cember 2023 were selected as the research objects. From January to December 2022,the traditional hospital infection management law was implemented as the control group;from January to December 2023,the hospital infection preven-tion and control group management method was implemented on the basis of the traditional management method,which was set as the observation group. The incidence of hospital infection,the quality score of hospital infection man-agement and the total assessment results of clinical departments were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of nosocomial infection in the control group was 4.14％ (248/5996) lower than that in the observation group 5.19％ (273/5264),the difference was statistically significant (x2=7.004,P<0.05). The quality score of hospital infec-tion management in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the differences were statisti-cally significant (all P<0.05). The examination results of each department in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusion Setting up a hos-pital infection prevention and control team in each clinical department,discussing and formulating the hospital infec-tion prevention and control plan of each department,and being responsible for promoting the implementation can re-duce the incidence of hospital infection and improve the quality of hospital infection management.
