Objective The effect of cluster management in the management of standby drugs in geriatric ward was ana-lyzed. Methods Twelve staff members in the geriatric ward of Zaozhuang Hospital of Shandong Health Group were se-lected as the study subjects. Traditional management mode was adopted from January to June 2023 (control group),and cluster management was implemented from July to December 2023 (observation group). The quality control scores of standby drugs management and staff satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The quality con-trol scores of standby drug management (base number of spare drugs,labeling of spare drugs,storage of spare drugs,expiration date of spare drugs,special drugs,total score) in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of observation group was 100.00％ (12/12),which was higher than 66.67％ (8/12) of control group. Conclusion The application of cluster man-agement in the management of standby drugs in geriatric ward can improve the quality control score of drug manage-ment and the satisfaction of staff to the management mode.
