Application of Blood Transfusion Information Management System in Clinical Blood Transfusion Safety Management
Objective To study the effectiveness of the application of blood transfusion information management sys-tem in the safe management of blood transfusion. Methods Sixty medical staff of Lingcheng District People's Hospital in Dezhou City,Shandong Province,from January to December 2021 were selected as the study subjects. It was man-aged using routine computer software from January to May 2021 and the transfusion information management system from June to December 2021. 4,000 blood application forms from January to May 2021 and 4,015 blood application forms from June to December 2021 were selected as observation samples. Compared the blood transfusion error rates,and quality scores of blood issuance management,blood dispensing management,blood bank management and the sat-isfaction of medical staff with the system in the two time periods. Results The transfusion error rate after the use of blood transfusion information management system was lower than that before the use,and the difference was statisti-cally significant (P<0.05). The quality scores of blood issuance management,blood distribution management and blood storage management after the use of blood transfusion information management system are higher than those before the use of the system,and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The satisfaction of medical staff after the use of blood transfusion information management system was 95.00% (57/60),which was higher than 80.00% (48/60) before the use,and the difference was statistically significant (x2=6.171,P<0.05). Conclusion The application of blood transfusion information management system in clinical blood transfusion safety management can reduce the er-ror rate of blood transfusion,improve the quality of transfusion-related management,and enhance the satisfaction of medical personnel with blood management.
