Objective To analyze the application effect of simulation training model in standardized resident training (resident training) in thoracic and cardiac surgery. Methods Fifty-six resident students from the Department of Tho-racic and Cardiac Surgery of Xiangtan Central Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects. According to the resident training time,the control group (twenty-nine students) was divided into the traditional teaching method from January to December 2022,and the observation group (twenty-seven students) was divided into the simulated training teaching mode from January to December 2023. The teaching effect of the two groups was com-pared. Results The teaching satisfaction of the observation group was 96.29％ (26/27),which was higher than 72.41％ (21/29) of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (x2=5.912,P<0.05). The competence scores and professional assessment scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusion The application of simulated training teaching mode in tho-racic and cardiac surgery department can improve the competence and professional ability of Zhupei students,and has a high degree of satisfaction and good teaching effect.
