This paper expounds the connotation and characteristics of public health emergency management. On this basis,from the aspects of perfecting the legal system,optimizing the organizational structure,strengthening the train-ing of talents and improving the level of informatization,this paper systematically analyzes the ideas and paths of im-proving the emergency management mechanism of public health administrative institutions in China,to provide a use-ful reference for improving China'spublic health emergency management capabilities and maintaining people'slife safety and health in the context of the new era.
