Study on the Construction of Local Version Model of International Classification of Healthcare Intervention
The ICD-9-CM3 based on linear classification is difficult to meet the current domestic application requirements. The International Classification of Health Interventions (ICHI) based on faceted classification has the advantages of good resource availability, strong expansibility and large capacity, but it needs localization in China. In this study,by defining the essential attributes of surgical operation classification, expanding the statistical axis and refining the axis range, and drawing lessons from the international mainstream classification framework,a three-layer model of ICHI local statistical version, local extended statistical version and local clinical version was constructed, and a classification list was constructed by selecting cardiovascular system. It was preliminarily verified that the ICHI local version can meet the requirements of international statistics, professional surgery statistics and multi-purpose statistics, and has higher statistical application and clinical information expression ability than ICHI-WHO version and ICD-9-CM3,and has good backward mapping compatibility,so it has the value of popularization and application.
