Abstract
Lao Teng's novelistic endeavors seamlessly blend the literary traditions of Dongbei(North-eastern China)with Confucian culture,forming a distinctive personal literary style.His concern for human rights and dignity infuses Dongbei literature with a warmer sentiment;his elegant and upright aesthetic style infuses its typically bold lines with a touch of delicacy.The epochal and contemporary nature of his works also reflect the Confucian spirit of engagement with the world.Thus,Lao Teng's writing introduces new experiences to Dongbei literature.
