In the Western Zhou bronze inscriptions,non-locative words undergo localization at the position of"NP non-locative"within the structure of"VP+(locative preposition+)NP non-locative".They are mainly composed of nouns and a few verbs, with a higher frequency of usage with personal nouns compared to object nouns and abstract attribute nouns. The semantic condition for the occurrence of the localization is that the VP or preposition requires a locative argument to fully express its meaning, and the mechanism behind this phenomenon is metonymy.
