Qieyun Zhengyin Jingweitu is a Dengyun book authored by the Yunnan monk Shi Zongchang during the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty.Scholars generally believe that the book encompasses both ancient and contemporary phonetics, but there are disagreements regarding its phonetic composition. This paper, through an examination of the characteristics of"standard""vulgar"and"dialect"pronunciation in the chart, proposes that it represents a phonetic system where these three types of pronunciation coexist, devoid of ancient phonetic elements and lacking a sense of harmonization. The analysis of the three-tiered phonetic system in the Qieyun Zhengyin Jingweitu in this paper aims to provide a reference for deciphering compound rhyme books and Dengyun charts from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
