Carotid artery stenosis or occlusion is a serious threat to middle-aged and elderly people in worldwide.Carotid endarterectomy is still the gold standard for the treatment of carotid stenosis or occlusion.In China,there are many difficulties and problems in carotid endarterectomy due to the regional imbalance of carotid artery stenosis or occlusion and the regional imbalance of medical level.It is very important to solve the problems of carotid endarterectomy and put forward countermeasures for the effective prevention and management of cardiovascular and cerebrovas-cular diseases.In this article,eleven aspects related to hospital management and physician diag-nosis were discussed.
