Objective:To explore the expression level of LBX2 in colorectal cancer and re-veal the potential role of LBX2 in colorectal cancer progression. Methods:The present study em-ployed utilized data mining techniques on the Cancer Genome Atlas database to compare the ex-pression level of LBX2 in matched colorectal cancer and normal tissues.Additionally,an investiga-tion was conducted to explore the relationship between clinicopathological features and LBX2 ex-pression.Furthermore,a receiver operating characteristic curve was generated to assess the diag-nostic value of LBX2.Results:A statistically significant divergence in patient prognosis was ob-served between those with high and low expression levels.Elevated levels of LBX2 have been identified as a significant independent prognostic indicator for colorectal cancer, correlating with decreased overall survival and disease-specific survival. Conclusion:Patients with high expres-sion of LBX2 exhibit a considerably poor prognosis, thus highlighting its potential as a valuable prognostic biomarker for individuals diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
