Objective To explore the effect of refine suturing technique combined with local flap in the repair of defect wound due to facial skin mass resection. Methods A total of 86 cases with facial skin mass admitted in our hospital from March 2019 to April 2021 were enrolled and randomly divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method, with 43 cases for each group. After facial skin mass resection, refined suturing and local flap were applied to repair the defect wound in the observation group, while traditional suturing and local flap were in the control group. The perioperative indexes, scar formation, postoperative complications and satisfaction of patient were compared between the two groups. Results The time of postoperative edema, incision healing and suture removal were shorter, the width of scar and the thickness of the thinnest scar were less 3 months after the surgery, the scar score was lower 12 months after the surgery, and the total satisfaction rate was higher in the observation group than those in the control group, and all differences were statistical significantly(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in the incidence of grade A incision healing and postoperative complication between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of refine suturing technique combined with local skin flap can relieve surgical scar formation, promote incision healing, reduce surgical risk and improve patient's satisfaction in the repair of wound due to facial skin mass resection.
