Clinical efficacy and aesthetic effects of functional endoscopic sinus surgery combined with individualized nasal septum decompression and correction in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal septum deviation
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and aesthetic effects of functional endoscopic sinus surgery combined with individualized nasal septum decompression and correction in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal septum deviation.Methods A total of 156 patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal septum deviation were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random numerical table,with 78 cases in each group.Patients in both groups were treated with functional endoscopic sinus surgery.On this basis,patients in the control group were treated with routine nasal septum decompression and correction,and patients in the observation group were treated with individualized nasal septum decompression and correction.The therapeutic effects,perioperative indexes and aesthetic effects were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 98.72%,which was higher than that of 88.46%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the observation group,the operative time was(28.54±2.43)min,the hospitalization time was(4.98±0.45)d,the recovery time of nasal ventilation was(3.21±0.25)d,and the recovery time of nasal mucosa was(5.67±0.29)d,which were shorter than those of(35.94±3.02)min,(6.92±0.65)d,(5.82±0.31)d,and(7.71±0.34)d in the control group;the intraoperative blood loss of(37.29±2.12)ml in the observation group was less than that of(46.03±3.87)ml in the control group;the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the degree of nasal profile deviation in the observation group was(2.05±0.25)mm,which was smaller than that of(2.99±0.33)mm in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal septum deviation treated by functional endoscopic sinus surgery combined with individualized nasal septum decompression and correction have significant therapeutic effect,better perioperative indicators,higher aesthetic effect after surgery,and significant clinical application value.
