Observation on the therapeutic effect of nasal septum deflection plasty combined with plasma ablation on allergic rhinitis in the elderly
Objective To discuss the clinical effect of nasal septum deflection plasty combined with plasma ablation on allergic rhinitis in the elderly. Methods A total of 84 elderly patients with allergic rhinitis were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with nasal septum deflection plasty, while the observation group was treated with nasal septum deflection plasty and plasma ablation.Comparison was made on the clinical symptom scores of patients before and 3 months after treatment, complications and mucosal integrity after treatment between the two groups. Results At 3 months after treatment, the scores of nasal itching, nasal congestion, sneezing and runny nose in both groups were all lower than those before treatment in this group;in the observation group, the nasal itching score was(0.82±0.16)points,the nasal congestion was(0.89±0.16)points,the sneezing score was(1.93±0.57)points,and runny nose score was(1.58±0.56)points,which were lower than those of(1.03±0.21),(1.31±0.44),(3.21±0.62)and(2.86±1.15)points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the complication rate was 9.52%and mucosal integrity rate was 71.43%in the observation group, which had no statistically significant compared with those of 11.90%and 66.67%in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Nasal septum deflection plasty combined with plasma ablation can effectively improve the nasal function of patients, reduce inflammatory reaction, relieve clinical symptoms, and reduce postoperative complications. The clinical effect is accurate, and has a good clinical application prospect.
