Analysis of curative effect of erythromycin eye ointment combined with auricular acupoint sticking on children with acute conjunctivitis
Objective To analyze the effect of erythromycin eye ointment combined with auricular acupoint sticking on children with acute conjunctivitis.Methods A total of 80 children with acute conjunctivitis were divided into a study group and a control group according to random number table method,each with 40 cases.The control group was treated with erythromycin eye ointment,and the study group was treated with auricular acupoint sticking on the basis of the control group.Both groups were compared in terms of clinical efficacy,occurrence of adverse reactions,ocular symptom scores(eye pain,foreign body sensation,tearing,secretion,photophobia)and the levels of inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),C-reactive protein(CRP)and monocytochemotactic protein-1(MCP-1)]before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate of 95.00%in the study group was higher than that of 80.00%in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of ocular symptoms(eye pain,foreign body sensation,weep,secretion,photophobia)in both groups were lower than those before treatment in this group;in the study group,the score of eye pain was(0.61±0.08)points,the score of foreign body sensation was(0.47±0.11)points,the score of tearing was(0.38±0.05)points,the score of secretion was(0.62±0.18)points,the score of photophobia was(0.42±0.13)points,which were lower than those of(0.97±0.24),(0.73±0.18),(0.85±0.13),(0.96±0.21)and(0.85±0.23)points in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of IL-6,CRP and MCP-1 in both groups were lower than those before treatment in this group;the study group had IL-6 of(5.24±1.27)ng/L,CRP of(2.27±0.54)mg/L and MCP-1 of(65.38±9.47)pg/ml,which were lower than those of(8.26±1.66)ng/L,(4.05±0.26)mg/L and(75.48±9.32)pg/ml in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Erythromycin eye ointment combined with auricular acupoint sticking can further improve the therapeutic effect of acute conjunctivitis in children,improve the clinical symptoms of children,inhibit eye inflammation.It is safe and reliable.
