Clinical effect analysis of Erdi Biejiajian Decoction combined with Liuwei Dihuang Soft Capsule in treating erectile dysfunction patients with kidney Yin deficiency syndrome
Objective To explore the clinical effect of Erdi Biejiajian Decoction combined with Liuwei Dihuang Soft Capsule in treating erectile dysfunction(ED)patients with kidney Yin deficiency syndrome.Methods 80 cases of erectile dysfunction patients with kidney Yin deficiency syndrome were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group by computer,with 40 cases in each group.The observation group was treated with Erdi Biejiajian Decoction combined with Liuwei Dihuang Soft Capsule,and the control group was treated with placebo granule.Comparison was made on scores of the International Index of Erectile Function-5(IIEF-5),scores of major symptoms and minor symptoms,and serum sex hormone indexes[luteinizing hormone(LH),prolactin(PRL),testosterone(T),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2)]before and after treatment between the two groups.Results After 8 weeks of treatment,the IIEF-5 score of the observation group was(20.96±4.12)points,and that of the control group was(15.30±3.48)points.Compared with the control group,the IIEF-5 score of the observation group was significantly improved(P＜0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the scores of major symptoms and minor symptoms in the observation group were(2.16±0.63)and(7.96±1.45)points,and those in the control group were(3.26±0.45)and(10.36±3.58)points,respectively.Compared with the control group,the scores of major symptoms and minor symptoms in the observation group were significantly decreased(P＜0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the levels of FSH,LH,T,E2 and PRL in the observation group were(2.22±0.54)mIU/ml,(1.06±0.26)mIU/ml,(25.86±4.65)ng/dl,(38.65±4.54)ng/L and(11.04±3.47)ng/ml,and those in the control group were(2.85±0.44)mIU/ml,(4.81±1.11)mIU/ml,(20.99±4.19)ng/dl,(58.79±6.16)ng/L and(11.18±3.18)ng/ml.Compared with the control group,the levels of FSH,LH and E2 in the observation group were significantly decreased,and the level of T was significantly increased(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in PRL level between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion The application of Erdi Biejiajian Decoction combined with Liuwei Dihuang Soft Capsule in the treatment of erectile dysfunction patients with kidney Yin deficiency syndrome has remarkable effect,which can significantly improve the erectile condition,major symptoms and minor symptoms,and serum sex hormone indexes.It is worthy of application.
