In recent years,type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),as a common chronic metabolic disease,is often associated with cardiovascular diseases and poses a threat to human health.T2DM with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(referred to as coronary heart disease,CHD)is the main vascular complication of diabetes mellitus(CDM),with high mortality.T2DM and CHD are two independent risk factors,but there are some common mechanisms in their pathogenesis.The coronary artery of T2DM with CHD is more serious,the condition is more complicated and the prognosis is poor than that of patients with CHD alone.This paper aims to summarize the research progress in this field in recent years from the aspects of etiology and pathogenesis,distribution of syndrome types,treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine,and summary,so as to provide new help for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with coronary heart disease in the future.
