Application of lateral decubitus position intervention in parturients with fetal malposition persistent of occipital transverse or occipital posterior position and its influence on delivery outcomes
Objective To explore the application effect of lateral decubitus position intervention in parturients with fetal malposition of persistent occipital transverse or occipital posterior position and its influence on delivery outcomes. Methods A total of 120 parturients with fetal malposition of persistent occipital transverse or occipital posterior position were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group according to random number table method, each with 60 cases. The control group received routine labor waiting, and the observation group received lateral decubitus position intervention. Both groups were compared in terms of mode of delivery, duration of labor, perineal tear and lateral incision, labor comfort and maternal and infant outcomes. Methods of delivery, duration of labor, laceration of perineum and lateral incision, comfort during labor and maternal and infant outcomes. Results The vaginal delivery rate of 78.33%in the observation group was higher than 60.00%in the control group, and the cesarean section rate of 20.00%was lower than 36.67%in the control group(P<0.05).The duration of first, second and total stages of labor in the observation group were(573.34±42.17),(75.45±11.68)and(648.79±53.21)min,which were shorter than(601.11±43.95),(93.21±15.45)and(694.32±65.76)min in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the observation group had a better incidence of laceration of perineum and lateral perineal incision(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the observation group had better comfort during labor(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, intrauterine distress, and neonatal asphyxia between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Lateral decubitus position intervention has obvious effect in parturients with fetal malposition persistent of occipital transverse or occipital posterior position, which can effectively improve the delivery outcome and is worthy of clinical promotion.
