Clinical observation of levonorgestrel intrauterine system in the treatment of adenomyosis
Objective To investigate the effect of levonorgestrel intrauterine system in the treatment of adenomyosis. Methods A total of 100 patients with adenomyosis were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with oral drospirenone and ethinylestradiol tablets(Ⅱ),and the observation group was treated with levonorgestrel intrauterine system. The occurrence of adverse events after treatment, treatment effect, clinical indicators, pain intensity and hemoglobin level before and after treatment compared between the two groups. Results After 6 months of treatment, the incidence of adverse events in the observation group was 10.00%,which was lower than 26.00%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 6 months of treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was 90.00%,which was significantly higher than 74.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 6 months of treatment, the menstrual volume in both groups was lower than that before treatment, and the uterine volume and endometrial thickness were lower than those before treatment;the menstrual volume of(74.38±7.01)ml in the observation group was lower than(103.42±9.42)ml in the control group;the observation group had uterine volume of(220.19±10.04)cm3 and endometrial thickness of(4.32±1.20)mm,which were smaller than(248.95±11.23)cm3 and(7.96±2.78)mm in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 and 6 months of treatment, the visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of the observation group were(2.78±0.66)and(1.02±0.34)points,which were lower than(4.62±0.97)and(2.48±0.56)points in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 and 6 months of treatment, the hemoglobin levels of the observation group were(92.53±8.46)and(105.53±8.46)g/L,which were higher than(89.48±6.01)and(100.32±7.36)g/L of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of levonorgestrel intrauterine system in the treatment of adenomyosis patients has good results and high safety.
