Phenotypic analysis of RhD positive unpaid blood donors in Linyi area
Objective To investigate the distribution of Rh blood group antigens C,c,E and e among RhD positive unpaid blood donors in Linyi area. Methods A total of 4563 RhD positive non-remunerative donors with Rh blood group C,c,E,e antigen phenotypes were detected by blood group serology using automatic blood group analyzer. Results A total of 9 phenotypes were detected in 4563 RhD positive unpaid blood donors, including 1830 cases(40.11%)of CCee,1604 cases(35.15%)of CcEe,460 cases(10.08%)of Ccee, and 386 cases(8.46%)of ccEE,215 cases(4.71%)of CcEe,23 cases(0.50%)of ccee,16 cases(0.35%)of CcEE,28 cases(0.61%)of CCEe,and 1 case(0.02%)of CCEE.The statistical analysis of Rh group antigens C,c,E and e of 4563 RhD positive unpaid blood donors in Linyi area showed that the positive percentage of 4 antigens was e>C>c>E from high to low. Conclusion The RhD positive unpaid blood donors in Linyi area are mainly classified by CCee and CcEe,and CCEE is the least common RH type. The selection of identical suspended red blood cells for cross matching is helpful to reduce the production of Rh antibodies. In particular,it is helpful to reduce the probability of Rh antibody production in patients with repeated blood transfusion. At the same time,it is helpful to understand the distribution characteristics of Rh phenotype among unpaid blood donors in this area, which is of great significance for timely and reasonable blood supply in the later period.
