Study on application of Lianhua Qingwen Granules and azithromycin sequential therapy in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia
Objective To analyze the effect of Lianhua Qingwen Granules and azithromycin sequential therapy in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP)pneumonia.Methods 98 children with MP pneumonia were divided into a study group and a control group using random number method,each with 49 cases.The control group was treated with azithromycin sequential therapy,and the study group was treated with Lianhua Qingwen Granules based on the control group.Both groups were compared in terms of efficacy,recovery time of symptoms and signs,pulmonary function[forced vital capacity(FVC),peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)],clinical pulmonary infection scale(CPIS)score,inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),C-reactive protein(CRP)],quality of life score,and occurrence of adverse reactions.Results The total effective rate of the study group was 95.92%,which was higher than 81.63%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The time of fever reduction,cough remission and rale disappearance in the study group were(3.02±1.02),(4.68±1.69)and(4.04±0.70)d,which were shorter than(4.41±1.42),(6.02±2.02)and(5.05±0.75)d in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the study group had FVC of(2.30±0.24)L and PEF of(192.60±17.08)L/min,which were higher than(1.85±0.23)L and(169.55±18.20)L/min in the control group;the study group had lower CPIS score of(1.45±0.55)points than(1.87±0.42)points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of IL-6,TNF-α and CRP in the study group were(30.12±5.88)pg/ml,(30.45±4.85)pg/ml and(10.75±3.82)mg/L,which were lower than(35.24±7.08)pg/ml,(40.56±5.02)pg/ml and(14.28±3.70)mg/L in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the quality of life score of(88.85±5.45)points in the study group was higher than(82.65±6.02)points in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of Lianhua Qingwen Granules and azithromycin sequential therapy is effective in treating MP pneumonia in children.It can promote the recovery of symptoms and signs,improve lung function,pulmonary infection,and inflammatory factor levels,ensure quality of life,and has ideal safety,which is suitable for clinical promotion.
