Study on the value of abdominal ultrasonography in the diagnosis of liver mass
Objective To study the value of abdominal ultrasonography in the diagnosis of liver mass. Methods All 125 patients with liver mass underwent abdominal ultrasonography and pathological diagnosis.According to the pathological diagnosis results, the coincidence rate and diagnostic efficiency(positive predictive value, negative predictive value, sensitivity, specificity, accuracy,Youden's index, misdiagnosis rate, missed diagnosis rate, etc.)of abdominal ultrasound for liver mass were analyzed. The ultrasound parameters[Doppler perfusion index(DPI),portal vein congestion index(PCI),resistance ratio(RR),total liver blood flow(TLBF)]were compared between benign and malignant liver masses. Results Among 125 patients with liver mass,33 cases were malignant and 92 cases were benign, while 30 cases were malignant and 95 cases were benign by abdominal ultrasonography. The positive predictive value of abdominal ultrasonography was 93.33%,the negative predictive value was 94.74%,the sensitivity was 84.85%,the specificity was 97.83%,the accuracy was 94.40%,and the Youden's index was 0.8268,the misdiagnosis rate was 2.17%,the missed diagnosis rate was 15.15%.The DPI,PCI,RR and TLBF of patients with benign mass were(0.13±0.03),(6.32±1.31),(1.35±0.28)and(1215.59±251.99)ml/min,and those of malignant patients were(0.42±0.09),(8.61±1.80),(1.49±0.31)and(1345.17±281.66)ml/min,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of abdominal ultrasonography has a good value in the diagnosis and differentiation of liver mass, and the diagnosis and differentiation results are not much different from the pathological diagnosis results, which can provide scientific reference for clinical work in a short time, and is worth recommending.
