Exploration on the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of insomnia in stroke patients
Objective To explore the clinical effect of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of insomnia in stroke patients. Methods 72 stroke patients were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table, with 36 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional oral medication, and the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture and moxibustion. The clinical efficacy, sleep quality, rapid eye movement phase(REM phase),sleep efficiency(SE)and total sleep time(TST)of the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of 100.00%in the observation group was higher than 72.22%in the control group(P<0.05).The comparison of daytime function, sleep quality, sleep efficiency, sleep time, and total score between the two groups of patients showed that the observation group had lower scores(P<0.05).After treatment, the control group had REM phase of(58.39±4.88)min,SE of(75.48±4.49)%and TST of(338.48±32.49)min;the observation group had REM phase of(82.44±5.49)min,SE of(81.29±5.33)%and TST of(387.29±36.94)min;the REM phase,SE and TST were higher in the observation group when comparing the two groups of patients(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of insomnia in stroke patients, the implementation of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture and moxibustion treatment has obtained significant clinical effects. The sleep quality of patients has been significantly improved, the sleep efficiency has been improved, the total sleep time has been prolonged, and the rapid-eye-movement phase has been shortened. The clinical application value is significant.
