Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine massage combined with functional exercise in the treatment of shoulder periarthritis. Methods 60 patients with shoulder periarthritis were randomly divided into a control group and a study group. Both groups of patients were treated with different treatment schemes, the control group was treated with simple functional exercise, and the study group was treated with traditional Chinese massage combined with functional exercise. The clinical efficacy and pain intensity[visual analogue scale(VAS)score]before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the study group(93.33%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(73.33%)(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the VAS score in both groups was significantly lower than that before treatment;the VAS score of(2.02±0.25)points in the study group was lower than(3.10±0.33)points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine massage combined with functional exercise has a definite clinical effect on the treatment of shoulder periarthritis.
