Clinical analysis of levofloxacin eye drops in the treatment of severe bacterial keratitis and conjunctivitis
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of levofloxacin eye drops in the treatment of severe bacterial keratitis and conjunctivitis.Methods 96 patients with severe bacterial keratitis and conjunctivitis were divide into a control group and a treatment group through envelope drawing method,with 48 cases in each group.The control group was treated with chloroamphenicol eye drops,while the treatment group was treated with levofloxacin eye drops.The symptom and sign score and visual acuity level before and after treatment,and the clinical effects of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the scores of eye tissue necrosis,conjunctival congestion,corneal ulcer,corneal infiltration,corneal edema and secretion in both groups were obviously lower than those before treatment;the scores of eye tissue necrosis,conjunctival congestion,corneal ulcer,corneal infiltration,corneal edema and secretion in the treatment group were(0.11±0.03),(0.75±0.18),(0.33±0.10),(0.58±0.17),(0.21±0.08)and(0.14±0.04)points,which were significantly lower than(0.40±0.04),(1.27±0.25),(0.72±0.54),(0.90±0.20),(0.60±0.11)and(0.58±0.09)points in the control group;the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the visual acuity level in both groups were obviously higher than that before treatment,and the treatment group had obviously higher visual acuity level of(0.72±0.29)than(0.61±0.21)in the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the total clinical effective rate of 95.83%in the treatment group was significantly higher than 81.25%in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of levofloxacin eye drops in severe bacterial keratitis and conjunctivitis can help patients significantly improve disease symptoms,signs,and visual acuity level,and improve the overall clinical efficacy.
