Comparison of the efficacy and safety of locking compression plate and limited contact dynamic compression plate in the treatment of bone nonunion after tibial shaft fracture
Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of locking compression plate(LCP)and limited contact dynamic compression plate(LC-DCP)in the treatment of bone nonunion after tibial shaft fracture. Methods A total of 60 patients with bone nonunion after tibial shaft fracture were divided into a study group and a control group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with LCP internal fixation, and the study group was treated with LC-DCP internal fixation. The clinical efficacy, perioperative indicators and postoperative complication rate of the two groups were compared. Results The excellent rate of Johner-Wruhs score of the study group was 93.33%,which was higher than 73.33%of the control group(P<0.05).The study group had hospitalization time of(14.82±3.01)d,operation time of(124.21±6.15)min and fracture healing time of(25.81±3.00)d,which were shorter than(18.21±4.52)d,(145.84±7.10)min and(29.20±4.51)d in the control group;the study group had lower visual analogue scale(VAS)score of(4.62±0.05)points 7 d after surgery than(6.42±0.15)points in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was 13.33%in the study group, which was lower than 36.67%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical treatment effect of LC-DCP internal fixation in bone nonunion after tibial shaft fracture is good, which can significantly promote the recovery of bone structure, reduce postoperative pain, improve prognosis, and the treatment is safe and practical.
