Efficacy of acetylcysteine for inhalation combined with mechanical assisted sputum discharge in pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia
Objective To observe the efficacy of acetylcysteine for inhalation combined with mechanical assisted sputum discharge in pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods A total of 130 children with mycoplasma pneumonia were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 65 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional treatment of azithromycin for anti-infection and Tanreqing for phlegm-clearing,while the observation group was treated with acetylcysteine for inhalation combined with mechanical assisted sputum discharge on the basis of conventional treatment. The clinical efficacy and clinical indicators(temperature recovery time, cough relief time, lung rale disappearance time)of the two groups were compared. The occurrence of adverse reactions of the two groups was analyzed. Results The temperature recovery time of the observation group was(3.75±1.31)d,the cough relief time was(4.58±2.51)d and the lung rales disappeared time was(7.81±1.67)d,which were shorter than(4.38±2.14),(6.36±2.86)and(9.77±1.85)d of the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the observation group, the apparent efficiency was 38.5%,the effective rate 58.4%,the ineffective rate was 3.1%,and the total effective rate was 96.9%.In the control group, the apparent efficiency was 21.5%,the effective rate was 66.2%,the ineffective rate was 12.3%,and the total effective rate was 87.7%.The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).In the observation group, there were 2 cases of nausea and vomiting in the process of atomization combined with mechanical assisted sputum drainage treatment, which were quickly relieved after symptomatic treatment without obvious adverse reactions. Conclusion Using acetylcysteine for inhalation combined with mechanical assisted sputum discharge for the treatment of pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia has synergistic effect, and can significantly promote the improvement of clinical symptoms and pulmonary signs, reduce the chance of bronchoalveolar lavage, with definite efficacy and high safety.
