Analysis of significance of individualized Kegel exercise on functional recovery in postoperative cervical cancer patients
Objective To analyze the significance of individualized Kegel exercise on functional recovery in postoperative cervical cancer patients. Methods 60 postoperative cervical cancer patients were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine recovery treatment, while the experimental group received individualized Kegel exercise on the basis of the control group. The degree of postoperative incision pain, bladder function, and comfort were compared between two groups of patients. Results In the experimental group, postoperative incision pain was moderate to severe in 5 cases(16.67%),moderate in 10 cases(33.33%),mild in 5 cases(16.67%),and no pain in 10 cases(33.33%).In the control group, postoperative incision pain was moderate to severe in 6 cases(20.00%),moderate in 20 cases(66.67%),mild in 1 case(3.33%),and no pain in 3 cases(10.00%).The degree of postoperative incision pain in the experimental group was better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the experimental group,22 cases(73.33%)had bladder function in grade 1,3 cases(10.00%)in grade 2,2 cases(6.67%)in grade 3,and 3 cases(10.00%)in grade 4.In the control group,15 cases(50.00%)had bladder function in grade 1,3 cases(10.00%)in grade 2,4 cases(13.33%)in grade 3,and 8 cases(26.67%)in grade 4.The bladder function of the experimental group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the experimental group,3 cases(10.00%)with moderate to severe discomfort,2 cases(6.67%)with moderate discomfort,3 cases(10.00%)with mild discomfort, and 22 cases(73.33%)without any discomfort. In the control group,3 cases(10.00%)with moderate to severe discomfort,9 cases(30.00%)with moderate discomfort,8 cases(26.67%)with mild discomfort, and 10 cases(33.33%)without any discomfort. The comfort level of the experimental group patients was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Individualized Kegel exercise has a significant effect on postoperative cervical cancer patients, and can effectively improve the improving the functional status and clinical symptoms of patients, and is worth promoting.
