The management and effect evaluation of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring for hypertensive patients
Objective To evaluate the management and effect of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM)on hypertensive patients. Methods 200 hypertensive patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 100 patients in each group. The control group received casual blood pressure(CBP)for brachial artery blood pressure monitoring, while the observation group received 24-h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Both groups were treated with antihypertensive medication based on blood pressure monitoring.Comparison was made on blood pressure before and after treatment, patient satisfaction,as well as ambulatory blood pressure parameters between the younger group and the older group in the observation group. Results After treatment, the observation group had systolic blood pressure of(112.13±7.56)mm Hg(1 mm Hg= 0.133 kPa)and diastolic blood pressure of(80.92±7.45)mm Hg,which were significantly lower than(121.77±7.87)and(88.02±8.99)mm Hg in the control group(P<0.05).The total satisfaction in the observation group was 95.00%,which was significantly higher than 80.00%in the control group(P<0.05).In the younger group, the daytime, nighttime, and 24-h systolic blood pressure were(114±12),(101±10),and(106±11)mm Hg,while the daytime, nighttime, and 24-h diastolic blood pressure were(88±8),(86±7),and(87±10)mm Hg.In the older group, the daytime, nighttime, and 24-h systolic blood pressure were(120±10),(108±12),and(144±12)mm Hg,while the daytime, nighttime, and 24-h diastolic blood pressure were(80±7),(71±5),and(79±5)mm Hg.The daytime, nighttime, and 24-h systolic blood pressure of the younger group were lower than those of older group, and the daytime, nighttime, and 24-h diastolic blood pressure were higher better than those of the older group(P<0.05).Conclusion Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring for hypertensive patients has significant value in improving their blood pressure levels and increasing satisfaction.
