Clinical observation on the treatment of postprandial distress syndrome with mixed cold and heat by acrid-release and bitter-downbearing therapy
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of acrid-release and bitter-downbearing therapy in the treatment of postprandial distress syndrome with mixed cold and heat. Methods 72 patients with postprandial distress syndrome with mixed cold and heat were selected as the research subjects, and were randomly divided into the traditional Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group, with 36 cases in each group. The traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with acrid-release and bitter-downbearing therapy(modified Banxia Xiexin decoction),and the western medicine was treated with mosapride citrate tablets. The symptom score before and after treatment and efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the scores of postprandial fullness and discomfort, early satiety, belching, upper abdominal distension and reduced appetite in both groups were lower than those before treatment;the scores of postprandial fullness and discomfort, early satiety, belching, upper abdominal distension in traditional Chinese medicine group were(1.13±2.00),(1.03±1.55),(0.68±1.45)and(0.34±1.23)points,which were lower than(2.11±2.11),(1.89±2.04),(1.44±1.70)and(1.11±1.95)points in western medicine group;the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, there was no significant difference in reduced appetite score between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the total score of symptoms in both groups was lower than that before treatment, and the total score of symptoms in traditional Chinese medicine group was(3.43±4.75)points,which was lower than(6.88±4.60)points in western medicine group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the traditional Chinese medicine group was 97.2%,and the total effective rate of the western medicine group was 77.8%;the total effective rate of the traditional Chinese medicine group was higher than that of the western medicine group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of acrid-release and bitter-downbearing therapy in treating postprandial distress syndrome with mixed cold and heat is good, and it can significantly improve the symptoms of postprandial fullness and discomfort, early satiety, upper abdominal distension, belching and other symptoms in patients, which is more effective than conventional western medicine treatment.
