Observation on the curative effect and complications of endoscopic mucosal resection in the treatment of gastrointestinal polyps
Objective To analyze the role and complications of endoscopic mucosal resection in the treatment of gastrointestinal polyps. Methods 100 patients with gastrointestinal polyps were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with high frequency electrotomy, and the experimental group was treated with endoscopic mucosal resection. The polyp resection, complication rate and perioperative indexes were compared between the two groups. Results There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of complete resection rate of flat polyps, complete resection rate of pediculated polyps, and complete resection rate of broad-based polyps(P>0.05).However,the success rate of one-time polyp resection in the experimental group was 92.00%,which was higher than 76.00%in the control group(P<0.05).The complication rate of the experimental group was 8.00%,which was lower than 24.00%of the control group(P<0.05).In the experimental group, the operative time was(67.82±13.01)min,the amount of blood loss was(32.41±11.28)ml,the postoperative fasting time was(1.02±0.29)d,the postoperative defecation time was(24.93±2.03)h,and the postoperative hospitalization time was(5.41±1.15)d.In the control group, the operative time was(69.46±12.74)min,the amount of blood loss was(34.56±10.98)ml,the postoperative fasting time was(2.03±0.38)d,the postoperative defecation time was(54.97±1.18)h,and the postoperative hospitalization time was(7.69±1.46)d.There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in terms of operation time and intraoperative blood loss(P>0.05).However,the fasting time, defecation time and hospitalization time of the experimental group were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic mucosal resection has a higher advantage in the treatment of gastrointestinal polyps. This surgical method will not cause serious postoperative complications for patients, and has a good promotion effect on subsequent treatment and recovery, and patients will not have very serious pain.
