Observation of the clinical effect of hysteroscopic removal of IUD for intrauterine device incarceration
Objective To explore the clinical effect of hysteroscopic removal of IUD for intrauterine device incarceration. Methods 60 patients with intrauterine device incarceration were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine IUD removal, and the observation group was treated with hysteroscopic removal of IUD.The surgical indexes,IUD removal and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group had operation time of(18.61±4.57)min and time for IUD removal of(8.12±1.53)min,which were shorter than(31.44±7.25)and(10.33±2.10)min in the control group;the observation group had less amount of vaginal bleeding of(9.76±2.10)ml than(16.25±2.43)ml in the control group(P<0.05).The success rate of IUD removal in the observation group was 96.67%,which was higher than the control group's 70.00%(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 6.67%,which was lower than the control group's 36.67%(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with intrauterine device incarceration, the use of hysteroscopic removal of IUD is simpler and more efficient than conventional IUD removal, with less damage to the patient, high success rate of IUD removal and low risk of postoperative complications. It is worthy of popularization.
