Clinical analysis of intense pulse photon hair removal
Objective To explore the clinical effect of intense pulse photon hair removal. Methods Intense pulse photon hair removal treatment was performed on 387 sites of 265 patients with the following parameters:wavelength of 700-1200 nm,energy density of 26-45 J/cm,pulse width of 30-40 ms,and treatment interval of 4-8 weeks. The clinical outcomes and adverse events of the patients were observed. Results After treatment, erythema reaction occurred in all patients, with varying degrees of erythema.Edematous papular swelling appeared at the hair follicle site 1 min later, which lasted for nearly 1 h and then subsided. After treatment, the regrowth of hairs in the patients became shorter and finer, and subsequent growth was retarded. The total effective rate and cure rate of patients were 98.71%and 95.35%,after receiving 3-10 times of intense pulse photon hair removal on 387 sites of 265 patients. There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of the total effective rate of treatment for different sites(P>0.05).The parts treated less frequently(3-5 times)were hairline, armpits, limbs, chest and abdomen, and bikini, and the total effective rate was 100.00%.However,the patients'lip and eyebrow were treated more frequently, and the total effective rates of these two parts were 95.40%and 75.00%(P<0.05).The total effective rate of hairline, axillary, armpits, chest, abdomen and bikini was higher than those of lip and eyebrow, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).During the treatment,1 patient had local blister symptoms, which disappeared after implementing effective measures in time, while other adverse symptoms such as blister, scar, pigmentation, depigmentation did not appear. Conclusion The effect of the intense pulse photon method for hair removal is ideal, and the safety is high, and it is worthy of clinical popularization.
