Effect observation of Banxia Xiexin decoction in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease of cold-heat mixed type
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Banxia Xiexin decoction in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)of cold-heat mixed type.Methods 40 patients with GERD of cold-heat mixed type were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,with 20 cases in each group.The control group was given basic symptomatic treatment,and the observation group was given Banxia Xiexin decoction on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,esophageal motility index,occurrence of adverse reactions and recurrence were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of 90.00%in the observation group was significantly higher than 60.00%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the esophageal contraction amplitude in the observation group was(65.79±15.42)mm Hg(1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa),the upper esophageal sphincter resting pressure was(65.33±15.42)mm Hg,and the lower esophageal sphincter resting pressure was(16.62±4.48)mm Hg,which were significantly higher than(53.61±12.33),(54.34±11.58)and(12.51±3.86)mm Hg of the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions and recurrence were 10.00%and 5.00%in the observation group,which were lower than 40.00%and 35.00%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The modified Banxia Xiexin decoction can significantly relieve the clinical symptoms such as acid regurgitation and heartburn in the patients with GERD of cold-heat mixed type,improve the patients'esophageal motility effectively,and the curative effect is definite,so it can be popularized and used in clinic.
