The effect of infrared therapy combined with operating room nursing on postoperative recovery and gastrointestinal function in patients with acute appendicitis undergoing laparoscopic surgery
Objective To explore the effect of infrared therapy combined with operating room nursing on postoperative recovery and gastrointestinal function in patients with acute appendicitis undergoing laparoscopic surgery. Methods 250 patients with acute appendicitis were selected. They were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table method, each with 125 cases. The control group was intervened with operating room nursing, while the observation group was intervened with infrared therapy on the basis of the control group. The postoperative recovery, gastrointestinal function, stress response, inflammatory response, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group, the recovery time of postoperative defecation was(29.15±4.04)h,the recovery time of postoperative anal exhaust was(15.29±2.14)h,the wound healing time was(5.44±1.02)d,and the recovery time of postoperative bowel sound was(13.85±2.22)h,which were better than(38.94±5.25)h,(18.06±2.41)h,(7.32±1.28)d,and(18.75±1.85)h in the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).After the intervention, the observation group had motilin(MTL)of(228.39±11.12)pg/ml and gastrin(GAS)of(153.31±10.46)pg/ml,which were higher than(196.83±12.08)and(136.52±9.34)pg/ml in the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).After intervention, the heart rate(HR),adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH)and mean arterial pressure(MAP)in both groups were higher than those before intervention, but the observation group was lower than the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).After the intervention, the observation group had CRP of(7.68±1.26)mg/L,TNF-α of(39.42±6.85)pg/ml,interleukin-6 of(30.84±5.17)pg/ml,TNF-α of(39.42±6.85)pg/ml,and interleukin-6 of(30.84±5.17)pg/ml,which were lower than(12.36±2.08)mg/L,(55.62±7.63)pg/ml,and(39.85±5.82)pg/ml in the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the the observation group(1.60%)was lower than that in the control group(8.00%),with statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Infrared therapy combined with operating room nurisng can better promote postoperative recovery, improve gastrointestinal function, reduce inflammation, and reduce complications in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for acute appendicitis.
