Analysis of rational drug use strategy in Western medicine treatment and its influence on patient outcomes
Objective To analyze the rational drug use strategy in Western medicine treatment and its influence on patient outcomes. Methods 68 patients who were hospitalized in the Department of Respiratory Medicine,Department of Gastroenterology,Department of Urology or Department of Cardiology of our hospital from January to June 2022 and implemented routine drug use strategy were selected as the control group, and 68 patients who were hospitalized in the Department of Respiratory Medicine,Department of Gastroenterology,Department of Urology or Department of Cardiology of our hospital from July to December 2022 and implemented rational drug use strategy were selected as the observation group. The disease remission, occurrence of adverse reactions, quality of life, and medication compliance were compared between the two groups. Results The total remission rate of the observation group was 94.12%,which was significantly higher than 60.29%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 5.88%,which was significantly lower than 35.29%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of physical function, physical role, bodily pain, general health, mental health, social function, mental role and health change in the observation group were(87.11±2.92),(89.35±3.11),(85.94±3.94),(90.12±2.82),(89.90±2.53),(91.73±3.55),(88.37±3.12)and(88.03±2.54)points,which were significantly higher than(74.26±3.27),(71.46±3.56),(71.09±4.64),(72.58±4.29),(72.31±3.79),(75.98±3.42),(73.30±3.68)and(72.14±4.13)points in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total compliance rate of the observation group was 94.12%,which was higher than 66.18%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with routine drug use strategy, rational drug use strategy in western medicine treatment has significant advantages in improving the remission rate of patients'disease, reducing the incidence of adverse reactions, improving the quality of life and improving medication compliance.
