Clinical effect analysis of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods 60 patients with lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine intervention, and the experimental group was treated with Chinese medicine fumigation combined with traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application. The clinical outcomes, functional exercise compliance indicators[Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)score of the lower lumbar spine,36-Item Short-Form Health Survey(SF-36)score],and Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)score at different time after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The experimental group had higher total clinical effective rate of 83.33%than 50.00%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The experimental group had JOA score of the lower lumbar spine of(34.02±3.55)points and SF-36 of(72.50±4.12)points,which were better than(25.86±2.53)and(63.45±2.11)points in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ODI scores at 1,8 and 24 weeks after treatment of the experimental group were(13.20±1.42),(24.82±2.11)and(33.50±3.21)points,which were better than(9.90±1.37),(13.21±2.12)and(23.80±3.18)points of the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application has a significant effect on patients with lumbar disc herniation, and can improve their clinical symptoms, which is worth promoting.
