The effect of exercise behavior intervention in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Objective To explore the effect of exercise behavior intervention in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods 60 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group received routine clinical intervention, and the experimental group received exercise behavior intervention on the basis of the control group. Both groups were compared in terms of Diabetes Specific Quality of Life Scale(DSQL),Self-Esteem Scale(SES),Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS),Rating of Perceived Exertion(RPE),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),and 2 h postprandial glucose(2 h PG)and glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c).Results The DSQL,SES and GDS scores of the experimental group were(15.99±2.12),(17.21±3.18)and(15.39±2.53)points,which were lower than(33.59±3.11),(37.71±4.18)and(23.58±3.39)points of the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The RPE and PSQI scores of the experimental group were(32.92±12.15)and(32.55±4.13)points,which were lower than(55.49±17.19)and(53.42±7.20)points of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The 2 h PG and HbA1c levels of the experimental group were(7.82±0.31)mmol/L and(6.23±0.53)%,which were lower than(8.32±0.52)mmol/L and(7.12±0.63)%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Exercise behavior intervention is effective for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and can improve the clinical symptoms of patients. It is worth promoting.
