Analysis of the application value of quantitative bacterial count combined with urinary sediment leukocyte test in the diagnosis of urinary tract infection
Objective To observe and analyze the application value of quantitative bacterial count combined with urinary sediment leukocyte test in the diagnosis of urinary tract infection. Methods All 200 patients with suspected urinary tract infection were subjected to quantitative bacterial count, urinary sediment leukocyte test and bacterial culture of urine. The results of urinary bacterial culture were analyzed, and the diagnostic efficacy of quantitative bacterial count and urinary sediment leukocyte test alone and in combination were compared using bacterial culture as the gold standard. Results 200 patients with suspected urinary tract infection were diagnosed by urinary bacterial culture, and 104 cases were positive, with a positive rate of 52.00%.Using bacterial culture of urine as the gold standard, the diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of joint test for urinary tract infection were 98.08%,96.88%,97.14%and 97.89%,respectively.The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of quantitative bacterial count for urinary tract infection were 80.77%,69.79%,74.34%and 77.01%,respectively.The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of urinary sediment leukocyte test for urinary tract infection were 91.35%,92.71%,93.14%and 90.82%,respectively.The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of joint test for urinary tract infection were higher than those of quantitative bacterial count test, and the sensitivity and negative predictive value were higher than those of urinary sediment leukocyte test(P<0.05).Conclusion In the diagnosis of urinary tract infection, the application of quantitative bacterial count combined with urine sediment leukocyte test is more similar to urine culture, and has high diagnostic value.
