Efficacy observation of insulin pump in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes
Objective To observe the effect of insulin pump in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods 65 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes were used as observation samples and grouped using the randomized numerical table method,in which patients treated with insulin subcutaneous injection as the conventional group(32 cases)and patients treated with insulin pump injection as the study group(33 cases).Comparison was made on clinical therapeutic effect, blood glucose indicators[glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),and 2 h postprandial glucose(2 h PG)],blood lipid indicators[low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),total cholesterol(TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and triglyceride(TG)]between the two groups. Results The study group had higher total effective rate of 96.97%than 81.25%in the conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment, the study group had FPG of(5.15±1.11)mmol/L,2 h PG of(9.65±1.22)mmol/L and HbA1c of(6.07±1.15)%,which were lower than(6.52±1.12)mmol/L,(11.43±1.26)mmol/L and(7.43±1.14)%in the conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment, study group had TG of(1.06±0.12)mmol/L,TC of(2.04±0.22)mmol/L and LDL-C of(1.02±0.15)mmol/L,which were lower than(1.86±0.14),(3.75±0.13)and(2.58±0.11)mmol/L in the conventional group;the study group had higher HDL-C of(1.64±0.25)mmol/L than(1.24±0.24)mmol/L in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion For the elderly patients with type 2 diabetes, insulin pump injection should be used for intervention. This treatment can improve the blood lipid level and blood glucose level of patients, and enhance the clinical treatment effect of patients. The application effect is significant.
