Comparison on the diagnostic value of CT and MRI in spinal trauma
Objective To compare the clinical value of computed tomography(CT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in spinal trauma. Methods A total of 58 patients with spinal trauma were enrolled in this study,CT and MRI were used for examination, and the diagnostic results of the two methods were analyzed to compare the diagnosis results of spinal cord injury and ligament injury. Results CT diagnosis of fractures and bone fragments was more obvious than MRI diagnosis,MRI diagnosis of spinal cord injury, ligament injury and nerve root injury was more obvious than CT diagnosis.Among the 58 patients,CT diagnosed spinal cord injury in 10 cases(17.24%)and MRI in 24 cases(41.37%);CT diagnosed ligament injury in 5 cases(8.62%)and MRI in 37 cases(63.79%).The difference between the two methods in the diagnosis of spinal cord injury and ligament injury was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion CT and MRI have their own advantages and disadvantages,so it is necessary to choose a suitable method to improve the diagnostic accuracy according to the condition of patients.
